A warm welcome at reception on arrival and every time I passed by, coming or going, as for location it could not be bettered, sitting along side of the river, almost within touching distance to the Uffizi Museum. Having been warned about the queues, I decided to have an early breakfast and avoid them, only to find out that the queue was 6 people long and not only that but they did an early bird ticket at the state owned museums and only charged 12 euros. So glad I didn't bother with any sort of pass. 70-80 museums in 3 days, not at all practical. I was there for 7 days so that would have meant 2 3 day passes approximately 160 euros. The hotel was a few hundred years only but you would have to be told this because there were obvious signs of this,, the breakfast dining room was the old ballroom running from the front of the hotel to the back and what a magnificent way your start your day the decor was amazing, and with views over the river which runs along side. the breakfast choice were endless and once again lovely friendly staff' The bedroom was large with plenty of walk round room, the bed firm but very comfortable, a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawers and a safe in it. A mini bar build in under the work surface of the fairly large desk.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel. it’s elegant in so many ways: our room was spacious, comfy bed, a small sitting area, absolutely great bathroom with a large towel rack that doubled for drying wet clothes quickly as the May time weather has been unnaturally wet, well stocked mini bar and smaller services too numerous but so useful. the rooftop bar and its views are to die for with great bar staff who really know how to make cocktails. I loved their friendly approach. We ended up with a drink every night when we got got after dinner. Then breakfast which was generous in its choices and again wonderful staff in an immersive, decorative room with frescos across the whole ceiling. It’s right by the Ponte Avecchio bridge, the Efizzi Gallery next door snd walking distance to all the main attractions. The small side road has 6 very remarkable restaurants with high ratings. We tried 3 of them and my word, not the usual pasta dishes but really good menus for all tastes.

This was our favorite hotel out of the 6 hotels we stayed in Italy! It was beautiful and The location was amazing! We were right by the city centre and could walk everywhere! We were upgraded to the most fabulous room, which made our stay so much more comfortable as we were traveling with our teenage daughter. We loved the rooftop bar and the views were gorgeous! The breakfast & room was breathtaking with a beautiful artistic ceiling! The staff was exceptional! They were so nice and helped us arrange a Tuscan wine tour, which I highly recommend! It was a highlight of our trip! We would definitely stay here again!

The location of this hotel is what attracted us in the first place, but we got so much more than that. This is a lovely hotel and offers a peaceful refuge from the busy streets of Firenze in August. It is walking distance to all the main locations - literally 1 minute from Ponte Vecchio - so is ideal for tourists with a short visit. The staff were delightful and helpful at all times. Most impressive is the rooftop bar on Level 5 with a breathtaking view to il Duomo on one side and over the Arno on the other. Highly recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here on my next visit to Firenze.

Phillip

Centrally located to all the attractions with fabulous views of the river Arno & the Ponte Vecchio from our room and of the Duomo, Campanile, Palazzo Vecchio, etc. from the rooftop terrace while having a light dinner or a drink. The Staff was very friendly, accommodating & made certain that we enjoyed our 9 day stay to its utmost even though they were at full capacity. The unique 13th century architecture & antiques throughout the hotel, added to the charm. The breakfast was splendid & the staff eager, willing & attentive at all times. Looking forward to going back!
